Orangewood Elementary School Home

Welcome

The Edison School District was organized on January 9, 1911. Its territory was taken from the Fairfax and Rockpile School Districts. There had been a school district known by the name of Lakeview serving the area from 1896 to 1903, but it lapsed. The Edison School District took its name from the Southern California Edison Company, which at the time was developing power projects in the mountain areas above Edison.

At Orangewood Elementary, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure students receive high-quality instruction while developing the skills and confidence they need to be successful both in and out of the classroom.
-As we move forward together, our focus will remain on:
-Providing excellent instruction and learning opportunities for all students.
-Building strong relationships with students, families, and the community.
-Supporting the whole child through academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth.
